The purpose of the Planning and Zoning Commission is to guide development with the existing and future needs of our community and to protect and preserve the integrity of the town while encouraging growth and development.
Planning Commission Meetings are held as needed to address specific zoning requests as well as future planning. Notices for all meetings are posted 24 hours in advance.
Any resident or business located within the Town limits seeking to do any of the following must obtain an approval letter from the Town Zoning Administrator and purchase a Business License prior to seeking a building permit from Spartanburg County.
· Build a new structure
· Add to an existing structure
· Place an additional structure (i.e. garage, out-building, carport, etc) on an existing parcel.
To obtain approval you must submit four (4) copies of the plat to the Zoning Administrator. Each plat must contain the following:
- Property Address
- Owner Name
- Front Setbacks
- Rear Setbacks
- Side Setbacks
Due to the number of requests and time constraints we ask that you allow at least one (1) week, after submission, for plat approval.
