A Message from Chief Jay Hayes 
As Chief of Police in the Town of Lyman, I am honored to serve the citizens and businesses in our Town.  The officers and staff of the Lyman Police Department work diligently to contribute to the overall quality of life and address all issues that affect our citizens, business owners and visitors. We strive to maintain a level of professionalism that is second to none. The Lyman Police Department works in close partnership with: the Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office, Duncan Police Department and Wellford Police Department, to ensure the utmost in public protection and service. Through our daily operations, we are involved in our community by routine neighborhood patrol, aggressively launching neighborhood watch programs, nationally certified child safety seat inspections, handgun safety lock and the child identification programs. The Lyman Police Department has an open door policy and we invite you to stop by and visit us.  We welcome any comments or suggestions you might have on ways we can improve our services to the community as a whole.  Together, we can continue to make the Town of Lyman an excellent place to live and raise a family.
