An Ordinance Amending Town of Lyman, South Carolina, Code of Ordinances Pertaining to Chapter 16, Article 1, Sections 16-24 and 16-30, Amending Language Regarding Removal of Limbs, Cuttings and Other Debris by the Town
Green waste will be collected by the Town from residential homes; green waste is strictly limited to residential yard clippings from routine pruning and landscaping activities. It does NOT include debris generated from commercial tree cutting or land clearing.
The Town will collect grass clippings from routine yard cutting.
The Town will collect leaves from routine yard clean-up.
The Town will collect brush from routine yard clean-up, including twigs, small sticks, and limbs.
The Town cannot pick up limbs larger than 6 feet in length.
Please do not place debris for pick-up near power lines, trees, mailboxes, fences, etc.
Yard debris must be placed separately in piles (Grass) (Leaves) (Brush) (Limbs/Sticks) at the edge of the property clear of any mailboxes or other structures preventing pick-up.
Do not block drains with grass or leaves.
Please place any appliances or furniture separately from yard debris.
Debris resulting from the work of a contractor performing tree removal shall be responsible for removing and disposing of waste associated with the tree removal. Whole trees, stumps, and land-clearing debris will not be collected by the Town, but shall be removed and disposed of properly by the property owner or contractor.
Building materials must be disposed of properly and removed by the property owner or contractor. This type of debris will NOT be collected by the Town.
