Town seeks volunteer to fill vacant seat on the Board of Zoning Appeals
TOWN OF LYMAN SEEKING VOLUNTEER APPLICANTS TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
The Town of Lyman is accepting volunteer applications for the Town of Lyman Board of Zoning Appeals. This board consists of five (5) Council appointed members and hold monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Individuals appointed to this board serve in a non-paid capacity.
The purpose of the Board of Zoning Appeals is to the review of appeals of alleged administrative errors, review requests for variances for relief from unreasonable hardship, and review uses by special exceptions, as defined in the Town of Lyman Zoning Ordinance.
Individuals interested in volunteering must be legal residents of the Town of Lyman and shall not hold any other elected or appointed public office in Spartanburg County.
Applications may be found on the Town of Lyman website, lymansc.gov, or may be obtained at Town Hall, 81 Groce Road. You may also reach out to the Town Zoning Administrator, Madison Workman, at zoning@lymansc.gov to have an application emailed to you.
