Mobile Food Vendors are expected to adhere to the following Conditions:
- Needed Approvals Prior to Operating:
- Vendor must have all necessary SCDES and other agency documentation needed to provide food service.
- Vendor must have a South Carolina Retail License and, if applicable, a South Carolina Alcohol/Liquor License.
- Vendor must have an active Town of Lyman Business License.
- Vendor must pass all Fire Marshall inspections.
- Vendor must show proof of liability insurance to operate at the intended location, listing the Town of Lyman as additionally insured.
- Vendor must have written permission from the property owner or authorized agent of the property allowing them to operate on the property.
- Vendor must ensure that the unit is parked in a location that does not create traffic or safety problems and does not interfere with the activities of the other businesses or lawful activities on that property, and does not violate any statutes, ordinances, or other laws applicable.
- Fire Department Inspection:
- Mobile food trucks will need a fire department inspection prior to operating.

- Business License:
- A business license is required prior to operating. You can obtain this online on the Town of Lyman’s Website www.lymanpmnts (Business License). Our Business License Official, Lorie Hamrick, can assist you with any questions you may have. Email: lhamrick@lymansc.gov or via phone: 864-485-0366.
- Conditions While Operating:
- The Unit cannot be parked overnight unless approved by the Town of Lyman Zoning Department.
- The Unit cannot be left unattended.
- Vendor is responsible for identifying suitable access to restrooms for employees.
- Vendor must provide their own trash receptacles for the entire time they are in operation.
- Vendor must collect and remit Hospitality Taxes in the same manner as any other Food Service entity.
- Conditions After Operating:
- Vendor is responsible for removing all items associated with their business or event, including but not limited to signage, chairs/tables, and trash/food waste.
